If you are looking for child care in Wellard or any Perth suburb, you may want to know all you can about the Child Care Benefit (CCB). One of the sticking points for many is trying to figure out what constitutes approved child care for purposes of the CCB. Here are the Government requirements.
Approved child care means the child care centre has been approved by the Government for CCB because it has met a stringent set of requirements and standards. The main criteria are having a license to operate, having a staff that is appropriately trained, being open during certain hours and meeting a host of quality standards, including safety and health.
When a child care centre is CCB-approved, they can receive CCB payments for your child care, lowering your out of pocket costs.
Types of CCB Approved Child Care
There are four basic types of CCB approved childcare: long day care for those who aren’t yet old enough for school, such as Cuddles Childcare Centres, family day care, occasional care, in home care and outside school hours care, which we also provide.
We qualify as a long day care centre because we are open long enough for parents to drop their preschool children off, go to work and pick them up on the way home.
Why Cuddles Childcare Centres?
Cuddles Childcare Centres are all approved for CCB. We offer the ELYF or “Early Years Learning Framework:” Belonging, being and becoming. We also adhere to the National Quality Standard in which we are “graded” on seven different areas:
- Educational program and practice
- Physical environment
- Children’s health and safety
- Relationships with children
- Staffing arrangements
- Leadership and service management
- Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
We are based on the principle of “Learning Through Play” and offer a wealth of opportunities for your children, both individually and in groups, to learn while playing.
